Welcome to the second part of this mini-series. Last week we looked at fire. Today we are looking at the air element. Please note that this post may contain affiliate links. For more information about what this means, please click here.

The air element

Air can be difficult for some as you can not see it. However, without air, we would not be able to breathe. Air can range from the smallest whisper to the strongest hurricanes and tornadoes which destroy all in its path. It gives life to fire and can also blow it out. It can move earth when at its strongest and it works with water to make clouds.

Connecting with the air element

If you have not worked with the elements before then you will need to connect with air. This is also good for those who feel that they have lost their connection to air.

Dedicate your altar to the air element for a couple of weeks using items from the list above. Sit at the altar for a few minutes each day and think about air and how you feel about it. Alternatively, meditate holding air crystals for ten minutes each day until you feel more connected with the element.

Take a walk on a breezy day and stand facing the wind, letting it blow into you and take notice of how this feels.

Another way to connect with air is to sing. The air carried sound and you need a good amount of air in your lungs to make your voice heard so this is great for connecting with air.

Cloud scrying is another good exercise to help you connect with the air element. You watch the clouds and see what shapes you can see and what they may mean to you. It is a form of divination.
