Real life

The beginning

Welcome to my little corner of the web! I thought that I would start this off by explaining a bit more about who I am and what you can expect from me and this blog.

Who I am

So, my name is Dee and I turned 40 last month. I am married and mum to three girls aged 22, 21, and 12. We also have three male dogs who are my little babies. I am also a nanny as my middle daughter has a one-year-old son.

My life has been a series of ups and downs. However the last few years I have really grown in confidence and have felt the happiest I have in a very long time (history of mental health issues). I think that I got to a point where I realised how short life is. I realised that it is far too short to waste time worrying about what other people think of me. As long as my family loves and supports me, then that is all that matters.

General life is busy running the family home, home educating my youngest, and running a family lifestyle blog.

As a child, I attended a Church of England school and was made to attend church. Then my mum decided that she related more to Quakers so I would attend Quaker meetings with her. I did not feel that either of these religions was right for me and that is how I found Wicca.

When I was in my late teens and early twenties I dabbled in witchcraft and learning a little about Paganism. However,  I did not know anyone else who was interested in this kind of stuff so I stopped practicing and conformed to societal norms.

In the last few months, I have reconnected with my Wiccan roots as I honestly feel that it the only thing that I have ever felt connected with. I am now at an age that even though I still do not know anyone else with the same beliefs as me, it does not bother me to do my own thing!

Me at the beginning of this new journey
Hello - this is me!

What you can expect

So to cut a long story short, as I am a blogger by nature, I thought that I would make a new blog dedicated to my journey through Wicca. I plan to share my knowledge as I learn more and hopefully create a useful site for others beginning their journey too.

I also have a small shop attached to the blog where I am selling items that I feel relate to my world of Wicca at fair prices. If you like to support small businesses then please take a look.

You will always get honesty in my posts and if you are nice enough to leave any comments then I will always get back to you. I am hoping to meet more like-minded people through my blog and my Instagram. Thank you for stopping by, I hope that you come back soon.

Blessed be xx
