15 Mabon Activities
Guided meditation
Guided meditations are a great way to start meditating as they give you something to focus on rather than struggling in silence. There are so many different themed meditations available on platforms such as YouTube. For Mabon, I really liked the meditation from Correspondence Meditations. It is really descriptive so great for helping you to visualise.
Mabon Tarot spread
Tarot spreads are another activity that is available in lots of different themes. A simple search on Pinterest can bring up many options. I really enjoyed reading the Mabon Blessing Tarot spread from angelorum.
Bake with apples
Apples are an important element to Mabon so what better way to celebrate than to cook or bake with apples! Things like baked apples, apple pie, apple crumble, apple cake, apple sausages, apple sauce. Whatever recipes you like that uses apples as one of the main ingredients.
Make soups using root vegetables
Root vegetables correspond with Mabon so why not make some lovely warming homemade soup to bring on all of the autumn feels?

Decorate your Mabon altar
Decorating my altar for the different sabbaths is one of my favourite things to do. I just love arranging and choosing the items that I will use. You can use anything you like but here are some ideas to get you started.
- Candles or ribbons in Mabon colours (browns, oranges, reds, greens, and yellows).
- Crystals that correspond to Mabon.
- Autumn fallen leaves and pinecones.
- Apples, pumpkins, seasonal vegetables.
- Baskets
- Besoms
- Incences that correspond to Mabon.
Go apple picking
With apples being so important to Mabon, going apple picking can be a great family activity.
Make apple or mini pumpkin candles
Scooping out the insides of apples or small pumpkins can be great to add candles to for fantastic Mabon decor.
Make a scarecrow
Scarecrows correspond with Mabon and can be great projects to make with family or friends. The scarecrow can guard your home as well as your garden.
Visit a corn maze
Corn mazes are a great autumnal activity and as corn corresponds to Mabon it can make a great Mabon activity!
Leaf rubbings
With so many beautiful Autumn leaves falling, it can be a lot of fun to collect some different shaped leaves for home art projects. Even something simple like making leaf rubbings can be a lot of fun.
Pick up rubbish in your local area
Tidying up your local community and therefore the planet is always a great thing to do. However, at Mabon, it shows that you are thankful for the world that we live in and that you are happy to do your bit to look after it.
Donate to a food bank
Another great thing to do at this time of year is to donate some food to a local food bank. As the colder months set in, people in need will welcome your kindness.
Make a gratitude list
Mabon is known as the witches thanksgiving so making a gratitude list is a lovely simple Mabon activity.
Make pinecone fire starters
Using pinecones that correspond with Mabon to make fire starters can be a great way to celebrate the sabbath. You can then use the fire starter in your Mabon bonfire or firepit.
Mabon themed spell work
Doing some spell work that fits with the theme of Mabon is of course a great way for any witch to celebrate the sabbath. Next week there will be a new post coming to the blog with ideas of what spells you could do.

So there you have 15 Mabon activities. I hope that this post has inspired you to plan your own Mabon celebrations this year. For more Mabon-themed posts, check out my dedicated Mabon page here.
